Melcombe Partners ended Q1 2025 with strong investment and leasing activity in the Netherlands, completing one development acquisition and securing five leasing transactions.
Melcombe recently committed to a new logistics development in Venlo, one of the Netherlands’ most established logistics hubs. The project will deliver 11,625 sqm of high-specification logistics space, targeting a BREEAM Very Good certification. The facility will be split into two units of approximately equal size. One unit has already been pre-let on a long-term basis, while the second is expected to be leased before practical completion, scheduled for Q1 2026. Construction is underway.
Melcombe also completed the renovation and extension of an existing logistics asset in Amsterdam, bringing the total lettable area to 10,820 sqm (an increase of over 3,000 sqm). The upgraded facility includes 13 loading docks and meets the latest technical and sustainability standards. For the upgraded building, Melcombe secured three new tenants who have committed to long-term lease agreements, resulting in the building being fully let.
In addition, the team secured two new long-term lease agreements with grade A tenants for an asset located in Utrecht.
Paul Lieben, Head of the Netherlands, said: “We’re very pleased with the momentum we’ve built, which reflects the strength of our portfolio and our on-the-ground capabilities. With several high-quality assets under management and a strong existing pipeline, we’re excited for what the rest of the year holds as we continue to deliver on our asset aggregation strategy across the Dutch logistics market.”
